I've seen some movie mistakes in Madagascar that I'd like to post, if you have any I don't, please feel free to post them!
1. Melman is being transported in a crate which says 'Giraffe' with an arrow pointing to it in order that people know which way is 'up'. This piece is later used as a makeshift headstone for Melman's 'protest' grave on Madagascar. On this piece the arrow is now pointing away from the name towards the grave, in other words on the crate the word would now have been displayed upside down.
2. Near the beginning, when the two metal monkeys strike the Central Park Zoo bell, it makes two different tones. As it's the same bell they're hitting, and they hit it at the very same vertical axis, it should make the same tone both times.
3. In the scene on the boat where the mute monkey is reading the notice on the penguin's box, and signing to the other, the monkey who can speak (but not read) is translating faster than the mute monkey is signing. For instance, he states the notice says "Kenya" before the mute monkey fingerspells "Kenya".
4. On the boat, you see hay inside Alex's crate. However, when it tumbles open on the beach, the hay is gone.
5. When Melman gets his head stuck in the Grand Central Station clock, the clock face position changes places in relation to his head throughout the scene. Sometimes his neck is at 6 o'clock and sometimes his neck is at 9 o'clock.
Extra: After Julien kicks Mort out to see if he'll be eaten by the Zoosters, he realizes they're no threat so he sends everybody out to go meet them. Watch the center of the very bottom of the screen...at one point soon after all the lemurs go scurrying out you see a purple lemur! (At least on my DVD I do).
Try some of this stuff and see if you can spot the mistakes. And please fill me in on if your DVD shows a "lemur of a different color" as well!
