Because I am a nerd with entirely too much time on my hands, I have written several Madagascar-related haikus for the express purpose of posting here. Some of them are halfway decent, and some are probably duds, but hey, they're all haikus. Enjoy!
Alex the lion:
King of half of the island
But only his half.
Marty the zebra
Asks for just one birthday gift:
A trip to the wild.
Gloria hippo:
Giant among the giants.
Her size overwhelms.
Melman the giraffe:
Hypochondriacal soul.
What ails you today?
Hail the lemur king!
Julien's crown shines brightly;
It has a gecko.
Maurice's counsel
Keeps Julien's head attached
Shouldn't he be king?
Mort the tiny thing
Radiates cute like sunlight
Also, annoyance.
The fierce foosa lie
In wait to catch their lemur prey
Who will protect them?
The penguin army
Figures it out the hard way:
Antarctica sucks.
