Set Me Free...

I think it's about time we kick this section off! You can play as either an orignial OC or as one of the characters from the movie. I'll be an original OC of mine...drum roll please!!! Lola the Spanish Lynx!

Lola looked over at a very large clock on the brick wall of the zoo entrance. 10:09. The Central Park Zoo had long since closed for the night and almost all the animals in the zoo had already fallen asleep, that is, except for Lola.

Lola was a rambunctious, young Spanish Lynx. She had grown up all her life in a zoo atmosphere, but like ones before her, she felt the need to escape.

Lola had always hear stories about four animals from the Central Park Zoo, her zoo, who had one day escaped to the wild where every animal deserved to be. She wasn't sure if these stories were true or not, this happened years ago, but they still were a story of hope. Hope that might someday help her to escape just like her four zooster heros.

~~Zelda, a dainty giraffe gazzelle in the enclosure beside Lola's, peeks up over the top of her fence, watching the lynx with wide doe-like eyes. She can sense something is bothering her neighbor, but she has always been rather timid. Clearing her throat softly, she decides to speak up.~~

"Hey...are...are you alright over there?"

Lola looks over at Zelda. "Yeah, yeah...I'm alright! Don't worry about me, I'm fine. But thanks for asking," But really, Lola isn't so sure.

Yes, of course she wanted to escape this horrible place, but how would she get there? She knows her ancestors come from a faraway place called the Iberian Peninsula but how would she ever get there even if she did get out of this evil place they called a 'zoo'?

[Indi]

~~Zelda perks her delicate ears forward and rears up on her dainty hind legs, supporting her front end by propping her front hoofs on the top of the fence around her enclosure.~~

"You're not fine. I can hear it in your voice. What's bothering you?"

Wow! Lola thought, This gazelle sure is something!

"Um...no, nothing, it's no big deal Zelda," Lola waves with her paw looking sadly at the brick zoo wall, the only thing seperating her from her dream..."Well um...ok," Lola jumped down from where she was gazing and trotted solemnly to where she could better talk to the small gazelle. "This really may sound stupid but um...you know that story they're spreading around the zoo? The one about the four zoo animals that escaped and made it to the wild? I was just thinking...you know..."

[Indi]

"Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria? Yeah, I've heard about it. You want to venture into the wild too, huh?"

~~This particular gazzelle easily reads between the lines and can figure out the full story without the storyteller saying much.~~

"Yeah, pretty much..." Lola was a bit embarrassed by revealing her story, "But what do you think about it? Haven't you ever wanted to venture out into the wild? You know? Be free!" The small lynx smiled as thoughts of freedom arranged themselves in her head.

[Indi]

"Well, duh! I'm a gazzelle! It's in my nature to run freely. I mean, how far can I possibly leap in this tiny space? Three bounds and I've crossed the whole thing. Of course, I want to be free!"

Good, Lola thought, I might have something going here...

"Hey Zelda?" Lola asked, catching the African gazelles attention. "Ho...w, oh, nevermind," The Spanish lynx chickened out and crossed her pen to make her way to her small caved made for sleeping.

[Indi]

"What? You don't have to be afraid to say something to me...or ask me something. Dollars to donuts, I'll figure it out eventually anyway, so just spit it out."

~~The gazzelle tilts her head curiously at the lynx. She thinks she knows what's on her mind. She just can't figure out why Lola is afraid to speak it.~~

"Okay...I wanted to know if you'd like to try to escape with me?" The lynx said it fast, trying to get it over with.[/i]

[Indi]

"Are you serious? You aren't just pulling my leg, are you? I'd love to escape!"

~~Zelda zips away to gather her stuff, then returns almost immediately surrounded by suitcases.~~

"So when are we leaving?"

"Well, as soon as we get an idea on HOW we can leave. I mean, just jumping over the fence would be WAY to easy...any ideas?"

[King Julien Jr.]

"There are no ideas. We don't have anything that could at least help us"

[kingjuliengirl]

"Well...let's just jump over the fence! This is taking to long!"

[King Julien Jr.]

"Some of us are not great jumpers thouhg ( not reffering to my) "

[Maurice]

In a cage along side of Zelda is a young lemur. His name is Morris son of Maurice. Hey is anyone there? I need to get out of here!!! Hello?

"How are you doing little buddy?"

[Maurice]

Fine. I just got here and I'm so irratated cause' one minute I'm in Madagascar and the next I'm in this stupid cage!!!!
Hey are you guys tryin' to escape? Cause' I am too. And I've got an idea we can have me sneek since I'm small enough to fit between the bars and go into the utilty shed I can get a ladder!

[King Julien Jr.]

"That's perfect. jus be careful"

[Maurice]

Okay!!! Morris slips out of the bars and heads for the utilty shed. A zoo keeper spots him. Woah there little fella we can't have you getting out! Zoo keeper throws Morris back in his cage. SHOOT!!! I thought that was gonna work!!! I'll try and think of somethin' else. Morris paces around.

Cousin to Rico Penguin, not psychopathic though!

Background: Lived with family and Rico in Antartica, before Rico was captured and taken to Central Park Zoo.
5 years later, I myself is captured and taken to CPZ, I don't know about Rico being there yet!
