Okay, if you've never roleplayed before, I guess there are two ways to doing it (that I'm aware of anyway). On some RP boards I've been on, people post with their main character, then they sometimes put the role of another person's character in as well, more or less controlling any active character. I don't particularly care for that style of RP as it puts a limit on the plot and prevents other RPers from freely using their characters. The other way (the way I like) is for people to post with their own characters which they have claimed and that's it. It leaves room for the plot to get more interesting and for things to move freely. Of course, whoever initially starts the thread can more or less decide which style the RP will go in. I guess it all depends on your preference.  Ack! I hope that made sense. I think I just confused myself. *mutters* Oy...let me know if something isn't quite clear and I'll try to elaborate, LOL! |

Okay, makes sense now! But I have one more question...is it kinda like a story thing where you make your character say stuff and interact with other characters? (I haven't really played much roleplay!)

Yeah, more or less. I'll try and give an example.
Player 1 - *So-and-so sits alone under a tree, sound asleep.*
Player 2 - *What's-His-Name pounces on So-and-so, giving him/her a rude awakening.*
"Hey, what'cha doin', So-and-so?"
Okay, that was lame with a capital "L". Of course, you can make your posts as long and detailed as you want. You get the picture, right? LOL!

Hmm...I'm thinkin' it might be an elderly lemur--like a senile old man (I love playin' characters like that, LOL!) Ruffed lemurs almost look like they could have that "elderly" appearence with the white fuzzy floof around their ears, don'tcha think?

Black and white ruffed or red ruffed
(I always felt the same way about the ruffed, black and white ruffed lemurs are my third favorites after crowned being my first and ring-tailed my second!)
It you're going to do a red ruffed lemur, you could name him Varimena or Varignena (the malagasy names for them)
and if it's a black and white ruffed one...Vari, Varikandana or Varikandra (also malagasy names).
Another idea would be (if you don't like the names above) to change the first letters like from Varikandra to Yarikandra (please, don't ask!)

I guess the black and white. I found some African names that sound kinda cool. I'll list them and their meanings and maybe you can help me narrow it down.
Davu- "the beginning"
Gazali- "mystic"
Jabilo- "medicine man"
Jabulani- "happy"
Morathi- "wise man"
Roho- "soul"
Zareb- "guardian"

Yeah, I liked Morathi myself. It'd be like a joke cuz it means "wise man" and the way I'm picturing this old fart to be, he's anything but wise, LOL! Oh, on a side note, the name Julien means "youthful". Seems to suit de self-proclaimed lord of the lemurs, eh? |

Nah, he'd be taller like most of the other lemurs, though his back is kind of hunched with age. Ooh! I just found another name that sounds kinda cool! Socrates mean "ancient philosopher". It's not African though. It's Greek. Julien is a Greek name as well, LOL!

Well, you pick a character you wanna play as and you use em' to kinda act out a story like King Julien and I did in our roleplay...I like to snooze it, snooze it! LOL! That still cracks me up! Anyway, if you have anymore questions you can ask me.

Well, that's kinda funny cuz Moroni is the capitral of the Comoros Island (you probably know but it's a island of the coast of Madagascar) it's weird cuz Comoros Island is the only other place in the world, besides Madagascar, where certain species of lemurs live. Pointless but I was reading and I thought I would randomly point that out...*shrugges shoulders* I don't know, nothing better to do around here I guess. LOL! Oy Vey! |
