O-kizzay, I'm gonna start a new roleplay. I'm gonna be Tiki (my OC) King Julien's gonna be King Julien LOL (he had it requested a LONG time ago) And anyone else who wants can also join in!
Tiki, a white fronted brown lemur, was panting as she made it to saftey. She had been running for days after she had escaped from Julius' tribe and he had sent the foosa to catch her. Luckily, she made it out of Foosa Territory alive and well. She was hoping that Julien's tribe (Julius's brother) would accept her and she would have a better life there.

On his little corner of the island, King Julien is completely unaware of his brother's most recent actions--not that he cares. As far as Julien is concerned, his older brother could do them all a favor and mysteriously drop off the face of the earth, never to be seen again.
At the moment, the self-proclaimed lord of the lemurs (etcetra, etcetra) is merely taking a stroll, surveying his kingdom just to kill some time until nightfall when he and his tribe can rock the jungle with yet another wild party. He pauses as he hears something indistinct in the distance, his furry ears perked in the direction from which the sound had come. It sounds like panting, but he isn't sure. Whatever it is is upwind, so he can't pick up any scent to figure out what it is either. Whether it turns out to be friend or foe, he decides to play it safe and swings up into a tree, perching on a branch not too high and not too low to watch and wait.

Tiki started running again, it wasn't because Julius or a foosa was on her tail, it was just a precaution. There'd be no resting until she knew she was safe. She did stop for a quick drink from a shallow stream though. She hadn't eaten or had a drink ever since that night she had left Julius and his tribe.
The cool water tasted better than it ever had before in her dry mouth as she drank it slowly to savor the feeling, then took another sip.
But she knew she had better be on her way, if she waited to long it could be her life she'd be fighting for. So after one last long sip she started running again.
Soon she reached the foliage seperating Juliens land from the outside and she was a little unsure. What if Julien was similar to his brother? What would Julien do if a stranger just appeared from nowhere?

By this time, Tiki has come within Julien's field of vision and he is admittedly caught off guard by the sudden appearance of this frightened lemur. He certainly doesn't recognize her as part of his tribe--and he knows everybody under his reign as he's not exactly the anti-social, low-profile, stay-at-home kind of king. It crosses his mind that she could be a part of his brother's tribe--a spy perhaps. This possibility motivates him to speak up.
"Hey! Hey, you!" he shouts, jumping down from the tree and approaching Tiki cautiously, "Who are you and where did you come from?"

Julien's sudden harshness caught her off guard. 'Maybe he is just like his brother...he sure looks like him.' Tiki thought making her way through the thick brush.
"Me? My, my name's Tiki and I'm from your brothers tribe. I was hoping for a home here? After I escaped he sent the foosas after me and I've been running for days and I'm so tired!" Tiki felt like she could faint she was so exhausted.

Julien regards her with a skeptical and suspicious look. He can never be too sure in cases like this. He knows his brother is an actor of sorts and can be quite melodramatic--even frightfully convincing at times. What if this Tiki lemur has been trained by Julius himself in the fine art of deceit?
"On de other hand," he mutters to himself, studying Tiki, "She is kinda cute. What am I saying?! She could endanger de entire tribe!"
Inching closer, he circles around her, still regarding her with a suspicious eye. Unlike Julius, Julien does have a compassionate streak. What if she's not faking him out? What if she's telling the truth? If he turns her away, it could be the end for her and it certainly wouldn't make him look very good as a ruler. The last thing he wants is to be put on the same level as his pathetic, crazy brother.
"Okay den," he replies at last, stepping back and straightening to make himself look taller and more important, "It's almost against my better judgement, but...I'll give you de benefit of de doubt. However, if it turns out dat you are, in fact, a traitor...I shall have to punish you."

"What?! A traitor?! What makes you think that? I would never work for that piece of scum brother of yours! Yuck!" She made a face of disgust.
'Man!' She thought to herself. 'He's really hot! Unlike that rat brother of his!' She shook her head. 'Consentrate! I need to get this guys trust.'
"So you're majesty. What can I do to prove I'm no traitor? Hmm?" She thingyed her head to one side cutely and smiled.

"Boy, if she's acting she sure is good," Julien mutters to himself, impressed as she calls his brother less-than-exalting names, then he raises his voice to its normal volume once again, "Put it dis way, Squeaky--I have a lot of responsibility as king of dis realm here. If you're secretly working for my brudder, dat could be my tribe's undoing and we can't have dat now, can we?"
Yes, Julien has forgotten her name already in his conflict of thoughts, thus calling her "Squeaky" instead of "Tiki". As he speaks, he gestures constantly with his hands, adding a certain flare of great importance in what he has to say.
"Walk with me. Talk with me," he replies, putting an arm around her shoulders and urging her to walk in step with him as he heads back to the heart of his territory, "Let's see here. I think you might be a traitor. How can you prove otherwise? Hmm...I dunno. Maybe you'll have to pass a test of some sort."

"And what would this test include?" She asked looking up at him. He was also looking down at her. His eyes were so different than his brothers. They actually looked caring. She blushed and looked away.
'I hope he didn't see that!' She thought to herself, a little embarrassed.
"Oh! And by the way, my name's Tiki...not Squeaky!" She smiled at his mistake. It was sorta funny.

"Oh, uh...right. Tiki. I'm sorry," Julien tries to hide his look of embarrassment at having made such a mistake. He grimaces slightly as he realizes he's also stuttered in his apology. How regal is that?
"Well, I suppose you could just answer a simple question," he shrugs, then gets in her face and glowers at her, trying to play the role of an interrogator, "Are you a traitor?"

Tiki smiled up at him. 'He was so cute! Especially when trying to cover his mistakes!' She though giggling.
"Anyway, no, I'm not a traitor," She answered matter-of-factly. "I could never stand the thought either! The consept of lying and cheating, blah, blah, blah!" She used her hands for emphisis. "So, do you believe me?" She looked up at him with longing eyes.

"Hmm...okay den," Julien shrugs in resignation, "I guess I'll have to take your word for it. Come with me. I'll introduce you to de rest of de tribe."
Julien goes before her a few strides and pulls back some large leaves, ushering her into his kingdom where other lemurs seem to be fairly easy-going, doing their own things and just enjoying life for what it is.
"Welcome to our humble home," he smiles, gesturing to the beauty that is every lemur's dream, "Come in, make yourself at home. You're one of us."

"Wow!" She breathed, quite impressed. She looked around at all the other lemurs. "Back at home, life was NEVER like this! This is simply amazing!"
At one corner of Julien's valley there was a clear spring, obviously the source of the stream she had drinken from. The sun beamed broadly, warming the sunning lemurs below. The grass was long and green and best of all, there were no foosa as far as the eye could see.

"Well, dis is de nicest place in all of Madagascar," Julien explains, trying to be modest, "It's probably as close to paradise as we'll ever get here on earth. Well, come along den. Mingle with the crowd. We're a friendly bunch--unlike de sticks-in-de-mud on my brudders side of the island."

So Julien introduced Tiki to some of the nearby lemurs and they were more than happy to invite Tiki into their little piece of heaven.
After that, Tiki and Julien sat down at a little bar on the beach over looking the ocean and drank spring water out of large coconut shells. It was the best water she had ever had. Back at Julius's tribe they had a musty little spring that could barely fulfill the entire tribe and Tiki was usually left with the mud at the bottom of the hole.

"Feeling any better?" Julien asks at length, taking note that Tiki at least appears to be feeling better for having come here, "So you say my brudder sent de foosa after you? What has he done--teamed up with dem? De mortal enemy?"

"Yes," Tiki added sadly, placing the half-empty shell on the table, "That's yes for both of your questions. He did send the foosa after me. And the second answers kinda a maybe. He didn't really "team up" it's just that he promises a free "meal", if you know what I mean to the foosa king every week as long as they follow his orders! That's why I needed to get out of there before it was my turn..." She looked down at the table with depressed eyes.
What if another poor lemur was being sacrificed right now? What if it was her?

"Well...my daddy always said he wasn't ideal leadership material," Julien sighs, sounding a bit saddened, "He always was a little...odd. He preferred to be alone all de time...never socialized much. We did have some good time togedder when we were younger though..."

"Like what?" Tiki asked curious, she had always been curious as to what Julius's childlife had been like on account that it seemed he'd never had one.

"Well, we used to play pranks on de older lemurs," Julien smirks, almost laughing at the memory, "It was usually his idea. We never hated each other. When we got older...I dunno. Something happened and he just changed--seemed frightened all de time and didn't wanna be around anybody. Daddy banished him after he set fire to de jungle here."

"He did that?!" Tiki asked surprised. Of course, she was only a very young lemur then but she could always remember that day. The sky was black and lemurs all over the place were yelling, running. She had lost her mom and started to cry and it was all Julius's fault! She grimaced. If she dared, if she really could she'd...she didn't know what she'd do but something bad!
She looked back up into Juliens eyes, which shimmered in the ocean sun. They were longing pools of blue. 'He's so hot!' Tiki imagined, drifting off into dreamland.

"Yeah, he did," Julien sighs regretfully, stirring the water around in the coconut shell idly, "I, uh...I don't think he meant to do it, but...one can never really tell with him. He's difficult to figure out, you know."
Julien looks up from stirring his water, meeting her gaze briefly before he looks away bashfully, his gaze drifting toward the calm sea.
"De best way to describe my brudder is by an old saying," he continues thoughtfully, "Still waters run deep or something like dat. Anyway, it's a shame he's a lunatic--which it's obvious dat he is 'cause he tried to kill a pretty thing like you. Dat's just crazy."

Tiki blushed deeply from Juliens comment. 'He actually thinks I'm pretty?!' Tiki thought to herself. "You really mean it?" She asked getting up in his face.

"Of course. I always say what I mean," Julien flashes a charming grin, "Unless I get my words confused and it comes out wrong, but dat's not de case here."
Again, he makes eye contact with Tiki, but this time his gaze lingers there, fixed on her violet-hued eyes as he appears to become lost in her beauty. He falls completely silent and just stares at her dreamily, oblivious to everything else in his world.

She does the same. His golden yellow eyes seem so charming in a way. And so does he! He might get kinda confused at times...he even admitted it! But that's what makes him special. Tiki loved that about him and she had only knew him for what?... three hours?

Julien finally becomes aware of his surroundings when the tide starts to come in and the spray from the waves falls cool on his face. He shakes his head and rises to stretch.
"Well, it's getting late," he sighs, helping Tiki to her feet, "We should be heading back. I can get Maurice to find a decent tree that you can call home."
Of course, the thought does cross Julien's mind to kick old Morathi out and let Tiki have that tree. That would solve his flooding problem for sure.

Tiki finished up the last of her drink and also rose from her seat. "That sounds nice." She yawned, "I don't remember the last time I've had a decent sleep!" She tried to keep her eyes open just long enough to get through the conversation. She streached, pulling her arms way behind her head and streaching her tail.
"If you don't mind, I'd like a tree by someone I know, at least, kind of know, on account of I don't know many folks yet!" She giggled. "Anyway, I hate to be lonely."

"Hmm...someone you know, eh?" Julien asks, pausing to think for a moment, "Aha! I've got it. Surely, you must remember old Morathi. And before you ask, yes, he's still alive and kicking...and drooling...and snoring...and annoying me."
